Ienny. by Alfie Webster Transfers to Omnibus Theatre for Limited Run in 2025
Grey Castle Productions today announces the highly anticipated transfer of Ienny., a bold and vulnerable one-man play written and performed by Alfie Webster, and directed by Sarah Stacey, a Fringe First Award winner.
After a successful sold-out premiere at Theatre503 in 2023, Ienny. will now move to the Omnibus Theatre, opening on 19 September 2025 with previews starting on 16 September 2025, and running until 4 October 2025.
A Darkly Humorous and Emotionally Resonant Solo Show
Ienny. is Alfie Webster’s debut play, developed through the Royal Court’s Introduction to Playwriting group. This darkly funny solo performance explores critical themes such as identity, masculinity, and the need for belonging.
A Personal and Powerful Story
In Ienny., the character Lenny is at a crossroads in his late twenties, struggling with the feeling of being overlooked in his own life. With his best friend Carly at the centre of attention, Lenny feels like a mere witness to the world around him. However, an unsettling dream and an unexpected visitor force him to step out of the sidelines. Lenny's quest for self-discovery takes a dark turn as he tries to define who he is and what his future holds.

Support from Acclaimed Actor Aimee Lou Wood
Ienny. has garnered the support of Aimee Lou Wood, an acclaimed actor who shared her excitement about the project: “I’m absolutely thrilled that my dear friend Alfie Webster is taking their special solo-show to the Omnibus Theatre, following a sold-out run at Theatre503. It’s a beautifully crafted play that examines what it means to find your place in a world as a generation cursed by the worry of being too much or too little, too big or too small, too young or too old. I can’t wait to watch it, and hope audiences come and feel as deeply connected to it as I do."
