Lyn Paul to Join the Cast of Mary Poppins UK and Ireland Tour as Bird Woman

Producers Wessex Grove, Gavin Kalin Productions, and Playful Productions are thrilled to announce that international recording artist and actress Lyn Paul will join the UK and Ireland tour of the multi-award-winning musical Mary Poppins as Bird Woman. Starting from Tuesday 18 November 2025, Lyn will perform at Milton Keynes Theatre before taking the stage at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff from 3 December 2025 – 10 January 2026 and at Liverpool Empire from 14 – 31 January 2026.

Patti Boulaye to Continue as Bird Woman

Patti Boulaye will continue her celebrated run as Bird Woman at venues including Birmingham Hippodrome, Mayflower Theatre, Sunderland Empire, and Milton Keynes Theatre until 16 November 2025.

Stefanie Jones and Jack Chambers Lead the Production

The production continues with Australian stars Stefanie Jones and Jack Chambers, who reprise their roles as Mary Poppins and Bert. Both previously starred in the Australian production of Mary Poppins and have received critical acclaim for their performances.

Stefanie Jones, who received a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Leading Role in a Musical for her portrayal of Mary Poppins, has also starred in Muriel’s Wedding The Musical and The Sound of Music. Jack Chambers, a celebrated Australian performer, won accolades for his role as Bert in the Australian tour of Mary Poppins and has performed internationally in acclaimed productions such as Hairspray, Singin' in the Rain, and Burn the Floor.

Lyn Paul: A Career in Music and Theatre

Lyn Paul, an international recording artist and acclaimed stage performer, joins the cast as Bird Woman. She first rose to fame as a member of The New Seekers in the 70s, with their iconic recording of “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)”. Lyn later transitioned into musical theatre, starring as Mrs. Johnston in Blood Brothers, a role she reprised for over 23 years. Her other stage credits include Calendar Girls, Cabaret, and Taboo. Lyn is also known for her appearances in Emmerdale and Holby City.

The cast also includes Olive Harrison, Connie Jones, Yvie Moore, Katie Ryden, and Sienna Sibley alternating the role of Jane Banks, with Oliver Benson, Charlie Donald, Oli Manning, Joshua Miles, and Oliver Noble alternating Michael Banks.

Based on P.L. Travers’ stories and the Walt Disney film, Mary Poppins follows the adventures of the world’s most famous nanny arriving at Cherry Tree Lane. Featuring dazzling choreography, unforgettable songs, and incredible effects, the musical includes classic tunes such as “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, “Jolly Holiday”, “Step in Time”, and “Feed the Birds”, with additional music by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.
