Operation Mincemeat Completes Recast with New Company Members Revealed

The producers of Operation Mincemeat have unveiled their new cast members for the upcoming performances, adding fresh faces to the critically acclaimed musical comedy.

About Operation Mincemeat

Operation Mincemeat, written and composed by David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson, and Zoë Roberts of SpitLip, is a musical comedy based on the true story of the audacious secret mission that helped win World War II. The production had its developmental runs at the New Diorama Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, and Riverside Studios, where it received widespread acclaim.

New Cast Members Joining the Company

From 12 May, the following new cast members will join the company:

  • Alex Young as Ewen Montagu and others

  • Roshani Abbey as Jean Leslie and others

  • Danny Becker as Hester Leggatt and others

  • Peter McGovern as Charles Cholmondeley and others

  • Chlöe Hart will continue her role as Johnny Bevan and others

Joining the ensemble will be:

  • George Jennings

  • Geri Allen

  • Madeleine Jackson-Smith

Creative Team Behind Operation Mincemeat

Operation Mincemeat is directed by Robert Hastie (Standing at the Sky’s Edge), who provided directorial support during the Riverside Studios run. Jenny Arnold (Jerry Springer: The Opera) serves as the choreographer, bringing dynamic movement to the production.

The creative team includes:

  • Ben Stones (Sylvia) as set and costume designer

  • Mark Henderson (Girl from the North Country) as lighting designer

  • Mike Walker (Jerry Springer: The Opera) as sound designer

  • Steve Sidwell (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) as orchestrator and vocal arranger

  • Georgie Staight as associate director

Casting is handled by Pearson Casting.
