13 Going On 30, the musical adaptation of the beloved 2004 film, has announced Jennifer Garner as part of its producing team. Garner, who starred in the original film as Jenna Rink, will serve as an executive producer for the stage version.
Musical Premiere in Manchester This Autumn
The musical will premiere in Manchester this autumn, bringing to life the heartwarming story of Jenna Rink, a 13-year-old girl who wishes to escape the challenges of high school, only to wake up as a 30-year-old magazine editor with a new perspective on life.
Lucie Jones will take on the role of Jenna, marking her second time playing the character in a musical based on a popular early-2000s film.
A Stellar Creative Team
The show’s book has been adapted by the original screenwriters, Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa, who are collaborating with Michael Weiner and Alan Zachary (songwriters for First Date and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) to create the music for the stage adaptation.
